About our U-Pick Experience
& Seasonal Schedule

Read our U-Pick Experience Guide to ensure Safety and Fun!

  • Dogs are not allowed in the Orchard section of Draper Girls Country Farm

  • Ensure your comfort and safety:

    • Remember to wear closed-toed shoes, especially if you need to use a ladder for picking.

    • Dress appropriately for the weather; U-pick is open rain or shine.

  • Bee-awareness:

    • Keep in mind that you'll be sharing the farm with pollinating bees, so bring your bee-sting supplies just in case.

  • Read our blog all about Farm Etiquette to allow for the safest and most enjoyable family experience!

CHECKING IN

When you arrive at the farm, simply follow the signs leading to the designated Pick-Your-Own (PYO) or U-pick fruit station, marked by the Red Tent. You must purchase one of our three (all you can fill!) basket options to enter the orchard.

WHERE TO PICK

Our friendly staff will guide you through the process:

  • We'll show you where to pick and provide you with the appropriate containers.

  • You'll be asked to read and sign a waiver.

  • We'll share some helpful hints, tips, and etiquette for your picking experience.

When you've finished picking, return to the station to check out and collect a box from one of our employees. Take this box to the fruit stand to make your payment. U-pick fruit is priced by the bucket, and if you have any questions about pricing, feel free to call ahead or ask our pick-your-own tent staff for clarification. We're here to assist you every step of the way.

THE U-PICK EXPERIENCE

At Draper Girls Farm, the U-pick experience is a tranquil and family-friendly adventure that allows you to immerse yourself in nature while harvesting delicious fruit. Our apple and peach trees are dwarf varieties, ensuring that most of the fruit is easily accessible. To ensure your fruit is perfectly ripe, we close off rows that are not ready for picking and guide you to the sections with the best fruit.

We also maintain well-mowed and weeded areas for easy access to the fruit. Please note that cherry trees are not dwarf trees and may require the use of ladders for picking. If you plan to use a ladder after watching our ladder safety video, we'll ask you to fill out a release of liability form for your U-pick experience. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities.
